Usher Numbers Working a Show
The maximum number of ushers that will be allowed to work a single performance is 125.
Please keep in mind that all usher meetings begin 1 and 1/2 hours before show time. This meeting is mandatory for every usher working a performance. If you have not arrived by the beginning of the pre-show meeting, you MUST sign-in on the clipboard at the House Manager's Station. Failure to do so may result in an unexcused absence.
Many ushers are not adhering to the dress code in the Fox Usher Manual. It states that the dress code will be strictly enforced. All ties must be regulation, i.e. those issued by the Fox. The House Manager reserves the right to prevent any usher from working if he/she deems that the usher's dress is in any way improper. While ushering, please leave coats, hats, purses, etc, in your locker. Do not wear binoculars while on duty.
Men should wear their name tag, black dress trousers, black socks, black dress shoes, black tie, Fox logo white shirt, black vest (provided by the Fox). Shirts must be tucked in.
Women should wear their name tags, black dress slacks (ankle length) or skirt (knee to mid-calf length), black stockings or socks, black closed-toe dress shoes, black tie issued by the Fox, Fox logo white shirt, black vest (provided by the Fox). Shirts must be tucked in. No stretch pants are allowed. Moderate heels are recommended. No sandals or open-toe shoes.
Scanners have the same dress code as above with the exception of a Fox issued gold vest.
It is our goal to have the usher staff look professional.
