The Band's Visit Wins Big at Tonys
The Band’s Visit took the Tony Awards by storm this past June, winning 10 (Yes, 10!) Tonys including Best Musical. With that many Tonys, it's no wonder the show's band rushed out to the streets of NYC to celebrate, giving an impromptu performance outside the theatre for the screaming fans! CLICK HERE to jam out with the band.
This year's Tonys were especially star-studded, with several big celebrities receiving nominations. Repping the smash hit Mean Girls, Tina Fey became Broadway royalty with a Tony nomination for Best Book. Over at SpongeBob SquarePants, the nomination for Best Score meant John Legend, Aerosmith, and T.I. became Tony nominees.

King Kong, Pretty Woman Head to Broadway
You heard us right: King Kong is on Broadway as a musical and we are DYING to see it. Don't worry, no live gorillas are in this one, just a 2,000-lb, 20-foot tall gorilla puppet. As if that's not cool enough, the show released a new music video that has us in love with Broadway’s new star. WATCH HERE!
Meanwhile, a few blocks down, Pretty Woman is strutting on Broadway and even Julia Roberts couldn't resist! Julia was spotted in the audience of a sold-out performance early in the show's run. How could anyone resist those iconic costumes and music by Bryan Adams? We know we can't!

Moulin Rouge, Jagged Little Pill Take on Boston
Boston was busting with Broadway hopefuls this summer, with Moulin Rouge and Jagged Little Pill (a new musical based on Alanis Morissette's iconic album) both wowing audiences with their pre-Broadway runs. We had to scoop our jaws off the ground when we saw pictures from inside the theater where Moulin Rouge played. SEE FOR YOURSELF!
Across town, word on the street is that Lauren Patten's performance of "You Oughta Know" in Jagged Little Pill got a standing ovation at every performance! Alanis would be proud.
